Okamoto (Thai) Co.,Ltd. is The 3rd off-shore subsidiary Manufacturing Co of Okamoto Machine Tool works Ltd, Japan. The Company was established in March, 1988 and was granted Promotion status by The Board of investment of the Government of Thailand.

In ITS Initial Stage of Operation, Okamoto Thai was Primarily Engaged in the Machining of Major Machine casting components for exports. With the support and assistance from the Board of Investment, Okamoto Thai underwent two major Expansion Programs, The Establishment of its own Foundry and subsequently The expansion of its Machine Tool Factory. Today Okamoto Thai is capable to Produce high quality castings for machine tools and also machine and assembly Precision Grinding Machines for both Domestic and overseas Markets.

Over the years we are very pleased Thai Okamoto (Thai) Co.,Ltd. has been able in one way or another to contribute towards the development and up-grading the industrial Technologies in Thailand in the field which we are specialised.

The Okamoto (Thai) factory is over 850,000 square feet, employs 1,000 people,
and has 30 engineers on staff. Over 300 high precision grinding machines are produced
here each month. Many of the world's top companies have contracted with Okamoto(Thai)
to manufacture their machines. As part of the 2006, $20 million Expansion, the company
now has state-of-The-art automation and safety environment equipment ISO 9001 and
ISO 14001 approved, Okamoto(Thai) is a world class manufacturing facility.

Mile Stones

1988 March

Okamoto (Thai) Co.,Ltd. was established in March 1988 and granted promotional privileges by the Thailand Board Of Investment (BOI)

1990 February

Opened its own foundry to produce high-quality iron castings for the machinery market.

1996 December

Expansion of the Company's foundry form 4,600 tons/years was completed.

1998 January

Production of new ranges of industrial Machinery Commenced.

2002 April

The company approved an overhaul of its business activities and the introduction of new support services for machinery.

2004 January

The company cooperated with its close business partners in Japan to acquire new technology for lapping machine fields. The company also commenced production of new lines of machinery supported by Coolant systems.

2004 November

The company achieved ISO9001:2000 certification, marking its official achievement of the highest international standards throughout its operations.

2005 March

The Company achieved ISO 14001:1996 certification, confirming its care and protection for the environment.

2006 until now...

The company invested over US$20 million to double its capacity with new assembly factory and foundry, thereby enabling it to meet steadily rising demand for its products.
